Archive war footage

This website below is where I got my archive footages which I used in the beginning of my film which I included a voice over narrative to build up the story and this helped me construct my story telling.

•Interactive Project Brief Semester 1


•Working with a specific brief, you have the opportunity to develop work that has a particular focus on audience interaction.
•You will learn specialist skills to help you achieve this.
•Over 12 weeks we will first look at conceptual approaches to interactivity and then look at how to realise these technically

•You will produce work in one of these three broad areas:
•1. An interactive narrative work – for example an interactive story with various possible twists and outcomes.
•2. An interactive documentary work – for example a non-linear portrayal of a person, event or subject.
•3. An interactive educational work – for example a tool for presenting a range of materials with the purpose of expanding knowledge and understanding of a subject.


•Which ever you decide on, there are some specific things that you need to build into the design of the work:
•Concept: We would rather you did something simple well than something complex badly. Think about why you are offering choices to a user.
•Production: You have already discovered that simply to convey a story audiovisually is difficult. Interactivity adds another layer of consideration for you as a maker. Careful planning and development is key to this project
•Interaction: There must be points of choice and interaction for the user.

•Which ever you decide on, there are some specific things that you need to build into the design of the work:
•Coherence: You must think how the visual, the aural and the interactive work together.
•Technical: We will be looking for technical ability, use of sound, usability, presentation and cohesion in the idea and form that the idea is delivered. Make sure that it works technically - Try out your work on different platforms for robustness and to eliminate glitches.
•Audience: Allow time to try out your piece on different people to test out and revise your interaction design. Audience is important.

•You must attend all the workshops to acquire the background knowledge and technical skills.
•Failure to attend will result in failure of the module.
• Different tasks will be set so you can evidence your learning in: DVD Studio Pro and Final Cut Pro and another media on negotiation with your tutor.

•All work should be submitted professionally on a labelled (printed) DVD in a hard case (or on a web or mobile based format on negotiation with your tutor). Failure to do so will result in us not assessing the work.

•For the next three weeks we are going to be showing you a range of work from the internet to locative work, from interactive DVDs to games, from books to non-linear story structures in film.
•Although you are working with interactive DVD for this project, you will learn about structuring your materials from other forms.

Interactive Diagram -Step-by-Step

START:
Level 1
Silent morning lurks the sky. Jake enters the forest holding a sniper rifle. Jake spots a soldier guarding the path way.

Option 1:

Shot Soldier--

Jake pulls out his hand gun, sneaks behind he soldier and shots in he back. Another soldier hears the gun fire, turns around and quickly runs towards the direction. Soldier finds Jake standing over the body and opens fire. Jake falls on the ground dies.
Game Over.

Option 2:

Take Down--

Jake sneaks behind the soldier, raps his weapon around his throat strangling him to death.

Level Pass

SCENE 3

Level 2

Jake stands over the body with his weapon pointing.

Option 1:

Leave The Body--

Jake stairs down at the body and quickly runs off. The second soldier finds the body, his shocked and quickly calls his ready.

All units dispatch.

Game Over.

Option 2:

Hide The Body--

Jake pulls the body behind a tree, picking up both lags swinging them over. Jake grabs his weapon and runs off.

Level Pass.

SCENE 4

Level 3

As digs deeper into the forest he spots an third soldier hold a shotgun.

Option 1:

Shot Soldier:

Jake spots a forth soldier guarding the second path way. Stands up and sneaks behind him but the soldier hears footsteps lurking behind him and turns around.

Soldier #4
Stop right there!

Jake try's to pull his weapon but gets shot on the chest.

Game Over.

Option 2:

Go Around--

Jake waits for the guard to turn around and runs across the forest and hides behind a tree.

Level Pass.

SCENE 5

Level 4:

Jake spots Soklovo handcuffed and his moth covered Soldier #4 is guarding him, his heavily armed.

Option 1:

Knock Out--

Jake runs towards the soldier and hits him over the head with his weapon. Jake walks towards Sokolov.

JACK
My name is Jack I am from the CIA and I am here to rescue you.

Congratulations Mission Complete.

Option 2:

Call Soklovo for Help--

Jake calls over Sokolov, he turns around to acknowledge him. Soklovo starts to argue with the soldier. Jake sneaks behind the soldier raps his weapon across his neck strangling him to death.

Congratulations Mission Complete.

Option 3:

Distract Soldier--

Jake picks up a broken wood tree branch and throws across the forest behind the soldier. He hears the noise walks over to the direction, investigating.
Jake then quickly grabs Soklovo and rescues him.

Congratulations Mission Complete.

Option 4:

Close Take down--

Jake sneaks behind the soldier, Sokolov spots him but makes a noise and the Soldier turns around, sees Jake and opens fire killing him.

Game Over.
